ALL information collected both online and offline is used for Youth Haven's purposes only and is never sold or given to any other organization or company without your permission. This includes all personal information, donation information and details, website visitor information and any other information collected during communication with Youth Haven. We use any personal information you share with us exclusively for the purpose intended and also to maintain future communication with those who have an interest in the outreach of Youth Haven.

If you supply us with your postal address on-line you may receive periodic mailings from us, which will share with you what is going on at Youth Haven, information on upcoming events, and other items of interest about our outreach and how you can be involved. We will never send solicitations on behalf of any other organization. If you do not wish to receive mailings from Youth Haven, please let us know by contacting our office at the telephone number provided above, e-mailing us at the above address or writing to us at the above address. Please provide us with your exact name and address. We will be sure your name is removed from our mail list.

Persons who supply us with their telephone numbers on-line will only receive telephone contact from us regarding forms they have submitted on-line. Only on occasion will a representative of Youth Haven ever call the phone number given for any other purpose, such as to say thank you for a financial gift or to seek additional information when needed. With respect to Ad Servers: We do not partner with or have special relationships with any ad server companies.

Upon request we are happy to provide site visitors with access to information that we maintain about them (e.g., constituent number, name, address, phone, etc.).Visitors can request this information by writing to us at the above mailing address. Visitors can also have this information corrected by sending us an e-mail to the above address, calling us at the above telephone number or writing to us at the above address.

With respect to security: We do all we can to ensure all of your information is secure. We have appropriate security measures in place in our physical facilities, as well as our web servers to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that we have collected from you at our site. It is very important to Youth Haven and its staff that your information be protected in every way possible.

With respect to children's information: while our primary website is designed to be used by donors, volunteers, parents, agencies, and other adults, some of our content, such as our Adventure Club, is designed for use by children. Whenever data about a child is collected for this content, we collect only the information necessary to participate and take steps to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations regarding children’s safety online, including COPPA.

General use of the publicly available children’s content involves no collection of personal data. Certain features, however, require an Adventure Club membership to be established by a parent or legal guardian to grant us permission to use their child’s information for these features.

​When signing a child up for an Adventure Club membership online, the following information about the child is collected from the parent or guardian:

​First and last name
Birthday and age
Gender
Address

​This information is used for the purpose of sending individualized items via the mail, linking Adventure Club memberships with our records of children’s attendance of Youth Haven on-site camps, and providing an internal means by which we can manage Adventure Club memberships per the request of a parent. At any time, the parent or legal guardian of a child whose information we have on file has the right to request knowledge of, a change to, or deletion of the information we have regarding their child. Additionally, at any time, the parent or legal guardian of a child with permission to utilize online functionality involving the collection of data, may revoke that permission by contacting us at the above email address.

​Some functionalities of our online platform, including the Adventure Club mobile app, allow children with authorized Adventure Club memberships to send us content they created themselves. This content is directly uploaded to our secure servers and is then held for review by our staff. If no personally identifiable information is given, the content may then be made public by our staff. If personally identifiable information is given, the content will either be removed or edited, or a verifiable form of parental consent will be obtained prior to making it public. At any time, any or all publicly available content associated with a child my be removed by request of the parent or legal guardian of the child.

​Some data is collected or stored locally on the device a child uses to access the Adventure Club mobile app. This includes, but is not limited to, authentication information, login history, and device permissions granted by the child for the purpose of participating in the above content.

We do reserve the right to modify this policy if necessary and will update the this page if changes are made. However, be assured that your privacy is very important to all of us at Youth Haven and we will always remain committed to safeguarding your information!
