Hi! I'm Rascal, the fun-loving raccoon.
I don't remember a lot about my childhood or my parents, but I do remember living with my sister Raine in a tree. Raine did her best to take care of me, but it was hard. I had to hunt for my own food, and sometimes I was so hungry I even stole food from different places. I'm not very proud of that fact.
One day, I found a big dumpster in a beautiful forest. I was walking along the edge when I accidentally fell into the metal bin! All by myself on a rainy night, I shivered in the corner. Then the lid slowly opened, and I was afraid as the light from a flashlight peered inside. To my surprise, a log was put inside the prison-like box. Hesitantly, I climbed the makeshift ladder. Upon exiting the dumpster, I was greeted by a friendly moose, an overly excited squirrel, and a muscular eagle. They took me back to Harvey's house and nursed me back to health. They taught me the truth about Jesus and that He loved me even though I had done some bad things in my past.
I quickly became best friends with my new comrades! Now I enjoy meals in the Dining Hall, cleaning the grounds of Youth Haven, and most of all chapel time sharing the love of Christ! I want everyone to know no matter how messy your life has been, even if you feel like trash, all people are the treasure of God!
My favorite Bible character:
David, because he was small like me, but he beat a giant!
My favorite Bible verse:
“So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.”
Deuteronomy 31:6
My favorites:
Marshmallows, the StarLab and looking at the stars, the Dining Hall, hanging from Harvey's antlers
I don't like:
Salt and vinegar
I'm good at:
Climbing tall trees, solving problems, swimming, and seeing at night. I'm not afraid to stick up for my friends or people who are being bullied. I can be shy at first, but once you get to know me I'm funny and good at making people laugh!
