Hi! I'm Pudge, the playful bear.
I was always...well...pudgy. I weighed 13 pounds when I was born, which is about 20 times the average weight for a newborn bear cub. Because of that, I was picked on a lot by most of the other bears. But my parents loved Jesus! My mom, Penelope, was a dedicated Sunday school teacher. And my dad, Rev. Husk E. Bear, was the pastor at the Rives Junction Bearptist Church. They taught me that my value comes from knowing God, not what I look like.
When I was just out of high school, I didn’t know what I wanted to do. I like cooking, but I never really got too good at it. Then one day, I heard singing coming from somewhere nearby. I walked through the woods until I saw a building with kids singing inside. As I approached it, a moose walked over to me. The moose's name was Harvey, and he told me that this place was called Youth Haven! Youth Haven is a very special place where kids can learn about God. I was so excited, I decided to join Harvey to try and make Youth Haven more fun than ever!
My favorite Bible Verse:
“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”
Psalm 139:14
My favorites:
The Bear Cave, of course! Berries, honey, trying new things (especially new foods), and seeing new places, and napping
I don't like:
When people pick on other people
I'm good at:
Fishing, exploring, running fast, and playing outdoors. I have a great sense of smell and am good at learning by using my senses. I am also pretty strong. I'm very affectionate and good at protecting my loved ones.
