God's people had a problem. They were slaves in Egypt, and the king, called Pharaoh, treated them horribly. But God knew what they were going through, and He cared! He had a plan to rescue them from slavery in Egypt, and he chose a man named Moses to lead them.

God did amazing things for His people, but they did not always listen to Moses or follow God's plan. They had to live in the desert for 40 years because they didn't trust God! During that time, God took care of them and taught them to trust Him more. He was training them and getting them ready for the future!

 

Just like Olympic athletes need to train, listen to their coaches, and follow the right plan, it's important for us to read our Trailbooks (Bibles) so we can know what God's plan is and follow it!
